10:11am | The new year marks new beginnings and resolutions for many, but for others it can even bring new life.
The first Long Beach baby of 2011 was born at 12:01am, January 1 at Miller Children’s Hospital when little Isabel Kaylin Norris entered the world. Mother Jeanette Carter and father Keith Norris welcomed their first child, an 8 pound and 1 ounce, 20.5-inch daughter after a 16-hour labor that ended just after the ball dropped.
“She’s No.1 – her birthday is all ones including the time she was born – 1/1/11 at 12:01,” says Carter. “It’s amazing and exciting to have the first baby of 2011.”
Norris was delivered at he MemorialCare Center for Women at Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach.
