Authorities need help finding a Lakewood woman with schizophrenia who went missing a few days ago.

Rachel Pinarath New, 49, was last seen May 21 at 8 p.m. in the 5200 block of North Figueroa Street in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said. She was driving a black 2010 Lexus RX350, which was last seen a couple of days later, May 24, in the Claremont area, sheriff’s officials said.

“The missing person suffers from schizophrenia, and the family is concerned for her well-being,” authorities said in a statement.

New is Cambodian, 5-foot-2, 110 pounds with brown eyes and long brown hair, according to the sheriff’s department. The license plate on her car is 7YAG226.

The sheriff’s department asked anyone with information to contact  Sgt. Mike Rodriguez, Det. Abraham or Det. Pereida at 323-890-5500.
