Monica is proud to call Long Beach her home. As the owner & creative director for Paper Cut Industries, Monica says, “Living in Long Beach, inspiration comes easy.” She’s been using this phrase as a daily mantra for her custom invitation and stationery studio located in the heart of Belmont Heights. Founded in 2008 with the mission to create sophisticated, well-designed invitations, Paper Cut Industries has become a top-notch invitation and design studio. A graphic designer by trade, her studio has won several awards for its designs and has been recognized in magazines nationwide, including Real Simple, O Magazine, and multiple international design annuals.

Paper Cut Industries’ success reinforces the fact that there’s an appetite and appreciation for locally owned business. Rather than resorting to a generic online company for invitation and stationery needs, people are willing to seek out a truly unique & talented artist whose pride is in her craft. Monica fills that need within the community she’s proud to call home.

When not concentrating on driving the daily success of her business, she volunteers with numerous community groups, including the E4SD (East 4th Street District), which encourages patrons to shop locally owned businesses in Long Beach. When she can she also participates in monthly clean ups of Long Beach’s beautiful beaches with the organization LB Clean Up. Monica also believes in giving back to the community that gave her her very own start after she graduated in design from Long Beach State. She offers internships through her alma mater in areas like design, production, and public relations.
