Last Monday night at approximately 11:19pm, a 50-year-old black male was shot multiple times near South Street and Elm Avenue.

Upon arrival on the scene, officers discovered said victim, whose wounds were relegated to his upper body, and transported him to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Though coroners have identified the victim, his name has not been released since next of kin has been contacted. The city of residence of the victim also remains unknown.

Whether the incident is gang-related remains a question and there is no suspect information. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
