The public is invited today to join community leaders and elected officials to rally against Prop 8 at the Bixby Park Bandshell at 1:00pm. More than 300 people are expected at the rally. The bandshell is located at 130 Cherry Avenue.
“This is an opportunity for Long Beach to stand-up for Equality,” said rally organizer Richard Lewis. “We encourage everyone to attend the rally and support marriage for all.”
Lewis is one of 15 community organizers who have joined forces to schedule this crucial rally on November 2nd, which will include food, face painting, and other family activities. Attendees will come together after the rally to call undecided voters and spread the word.
