A Friday night shooting in front of a North Long Beach residence left one man dead and a woman injured in what is not thought to be a gang-related incident. 

Police say they responded to a shooting call at around 7:45PM in the area of 55th St. and Linden Ave. According to a press release, arriving officers discovered 23 year-old Andre Eugene Spruce Jr. with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Spruce was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

A second victim who is only being identified as a female adult, was taken to the hospital by family members and appeared to have non-life-threatening injuries.

There is no suspect information and no motive available at this time.
