A man suffered non-life-threatening wounds after being shot in the 6100 block of Atlantic Avenue in North Long Beach Friday evening, police said.
Police said the shots were fired at about 6:40 p.m. following a physical altercation between two groups of men.
Police officers were dispatched to a local hospital regarding a man with a gunshot wound to the lower body, who authorities determined was involved in the altercation, police said.
Police said the victim was uncooperative in giving details about the incident.
Those involved in the fight left the area before police arrived, and no other injuries were reported, authorities said.
Police said they are continuing to investigate.
