A west Long Beach shooting last night killed one man and injured two others, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
A male walked up to the group of three and opened fire in the 3600 block of Santa Fe Avenue, killing 19-year old Frank Castro Jr. and injuring two males aged 18 and 40. Castro Jr. sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene. The two injured men have been treated and released.
Police say the shooting is possibly gang-related. They have not released any information about suspects.
The incident was the second fatal shooting in Long Beach this week. Five people have been murdered in shootings in the past 30 days.
