The connector ramp from the northbound 710 Freeway to the southbound 405 Freeway reopened just before 4 p.m. Tuesday after an overturned big rig spurred an hours-long closure.

The truck ended up on its side just after 11:45 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol spokesperson Christian Baldonado. The cause of the crash is unknown, and no other vehicles appear to have been involved, he added.

The truck driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene, Baldonado said.

Two trucks were needed to lift the truck upright before it could be towed away. Both the truck and dozens of boxes that littered the ramp because of the crash had to be cleared before the ramp could reopen, according to CalTrans spokesperson Jim Medina.

Editor’s note: This story has been updated to reflect that the connector ramp has reopened.
