New City Manager Pat West was welcomed by business and community leaders on Wednesday night at a special reception hosted by John Morris at his Pine Ave. restaurant Smooths. Over 300 guests were on hand to wish West well in his new position.
Celebrating at the event was Vice-Mayor Bonnie Lowenthal and Councilmembers Gary Delong, Rae Gabelich and Dee Andrews. Numerous city staff and residents were present at the event.
Community activist Pat Paris presented West with a sheriff hat and badge, declaring, “There’s a new sheriff in town.”
