An unidentified 41-year old male was killed in a traffic accident on Wednesday evening, when he suddenly ran across 7th Street near the Recreation Park golf course.
Two women were traveling westbound on 7th Street in a 2004 Honda Civic when the man, who the Press-Telegram is reporting was homeless, ran across the street and was struck by the car. Both females sustained minor injuries and were treated and released at local hospitals.
No charges are pending for the driver.
The deceased male sustained multiple fractures and major head trauma, according to a statement from the Long Beach Police Department. His name is being withheld pending notification of kin.
