The results are in.
Thousands of runners participated in today’s Long Beach Marathon and Half Marathon, which returned for its 38th year. But there could only be four winners.
In the Half Marathon, Ayrton Ledesma Fuentes, of Azusa, California, won the men’s race with a time of 01:03:25.0. Alyssa Block, 25, of Lindsey, California, won the women’s race with a time of 01:16:27.4.
And for the full 26.2-mile race, Raymon Ornelas, a 22-year-old Cal State Long Beach graduate and Long Beach resident, won the men’s competition with a time of 02:31:37.2. Margaux Curcuru, 30, of Los Angeles, won the women’s race with a time of 02:53:20.9.
Regardless of their finishing times, though, every participant in today’s run got a medal for completing the scenic course, which wound through Downtown Long Beach, Shoreline Village, Belmont Shore and around Cal State Long Beach’s campus.
