Police are investigating a stabbing that left a man injured Sunday evening in North Long Beach, according to authorities.

Long Beach police responded to the 400 block of East Market Street, in the Addams neighborhood, around 7:11 p.m. Sunday and found a man with stab wounds to the upper body. The man told police he was in his home when he got into a verbal dispute with his roommate that later escalated to the stabbing.

The man’s roommate, 58-year-old Ethan McCammon of Long Beach, was arrested at the scene and booked for one count of assault with a deadly weapon.

Long Beach Fire Department personnel responded and treated the man who was injured at the scene for minor, non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

McCammon’s bail was set at $30,000, and the investigation is ongoing.
