UPDATE | Police found Blythe in a hotel near the Long Beach Airport in the 3800 block of Lakewood Boulevard, they announced on Twitter today. He was safe and unharmed and reunited with his caregivers, they said.

PREVIOUSLY: Police ask for help finding a missing 92-year-old man

5/8/20 at 11:01 a.m. | Long Beach police are looking for a missing 92-year-old man who has medical conditions and may become disoriented.

Richard Johnston Blythe was last seen on 10 p.m. Wednesday at his live-in care facility in North Long Beach on the 3100 block of E. Artesia Boulevard.

Blythe is described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 150 pounds, with white hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a Vietnam Vet hat, a white shirt and khaki pants.

Anyone with information on Blythe is asked to call missing persons at 562-570-7246 or Police Dispatch at 562-435-6711.
