Editor’s note: Police said on Feb. 16 that Inglewood police had found Steele and safely returned him home to his family.

Long Beach police are asking for the public’s help to find an at-risk 78-year-old man who went missing Wednesday night.

George Richard Steele was last seen driving a silver 2013 Buick Enclave around 11 p.m. in the 1800 block of Bellflower Boulevard. Police said his destination is not known, but he suffers from mental conditions and might become disoriented.

Steele was described by authorities as being 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 155 pounds, with grey hair and blue eyes. He was last wearing a green long sleeve T-shirt, blue denim jeans and white New Balance sneakers.
