A Long Beach teenager missing since Monday has been found, unharmed, in Memphis, Tennessee, police announced today.

Police asked for assistance in locating Ana Gabriela Alvarado, 13, on Thursday after she was last seen Monday morning walking away from her home on the 1000 block of Almond Court. During its investigation, the LBPD Missing Persons Detail located evidence that Alvarado was in Memphis and began collaborating with local authorities.

At 9:20 a.m. PST, Memphis police located Alvarado inside a home on the 3200 block of Innsbruck Lake, according to LBPD. She appeared to be physically unharmed.

Detectives are working to reunite the teen with her family in Long Beach, the department stated, and an investigation is ongoing to determine if a crime was committed.
