Police respond to gas station robbery on Lakewood Boulevard
Officers responded to a strong-arm robbery at a gas station located at the 2600 block of Lakewood Boulevard, near Willow Street, on Sunday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched at approximately 1:29 p.m. and upon arrival, found a woman with minor injuries who told police that while working as a cashier, four unknown men entered the store, said LBPD spokesperson Richard Mejia.
The robbers grabbed the store’s cash registers, resulting in a brief physical confrontation with the cashier, Mejia said.
The robbers then fled in a van, heading northbound on Lakewood Boulevard, before officers arrived, said LBPD.
The reported loss was two cash registers, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
