Polls have closed in Long Beach and the rest of Los Angeles County. Expect the first batch of results between 8:20 and 8:30 p.m.

That tranche should include all mail-in ballots that were received prior to Election Day, according to Michael Sanchez, a spokesperson for the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s Office.

At about 8:45 p.m., the Registrar-Recorder’s Office also expects to post the tallies from all the in-person votes cast during early voting.

After that, we’ll get hourly updates until Wednesday morning when returns will get a lot slower.

All the local results will be posted live at lbpost.com/elections.
