Voter turnout is creeping up in Long Beach.

The latest numbers, including vote-by-mail ballots and early voting, put it at around 17% citywide so far. That’s four percentage points higher than it was a few hours ago.

The three East Long Beach districts (3, 4, 5) all are over 20%. They’re the only districts to eclipse that mark so far.

The March 2020 primary saw turnout over 40%.
