Today, Congresswoman Janice Hahn announced her endorsement of Long Beach City Council candidate for the Second District Jeannine Pearce.
Hahn represents San Pedro and portions of West Long Beach, including the Long Beach Port. She joins LA Supervisor Sheila Kuehl, Vice Mayor Suja Lowenthal and councilmembers Rex Richardson and Roberto Uranga in supporting Pearce.
“I support Jeannine Pearce for Long Beach City Council because of her focus on delivering a higher quality of life to residents by delivering safer, cleaner neighborhoods and a cleaner, greener Port of Long Beach,” said Hahn in a statement. “Jeannine’s community driven approach and commitment to bringing residents, non-profits and community organizations together to ensure the port implements the promise of their Green Port Plan and bring zero emission vehicles to port operations, is the type of leadership that will lead to real environmental change for families throughout Long Beach. I’m proud to see another strong woman leading the way.”
“Congresswoman Hahn is a strong leader who has been a role model for elected officials at all levels of government,” said Pearce. “She brings a passion of her convictions and a drive to solve problems to her role as a member of Congress. It’s a true honor to have her support and to count her among my top supporters.”
