Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe has endorsed Daryl Supernaw in Long Beach’s Fourth District special election, according to a statement from Supernaw’s campaign.

Knabe joins a growing list of elected officials and community leaders who have endorsed Supernaw, including former Long Bach Mayor Dr. Tom Clark, Former Long Beach Mayor Eunice Sato, former Long Beach Third District Councilman Gary DeLong, Long Beach City College Trustee Dr. Virginia Baxter, Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce PAC, Pacific West Association of Realtors, Los Angeles County Business Federation, the Long Beach Business Journal, and the Beachcomber newspaper.

“Daryl’s commitment to Long Beach is unmatched. From serving as chairman of the Long Beach Sustainable City Commission, to founding the Atherton Corridor Neighborhood Association, Daryl has earned the trust of Fourth District residents and community stakeholders,” Supervisor Knabe said in a statement.

“Don Knabe has spent the better part of four decades serving the residents of Los Angeles County. It is a great honor to have Supervisor Knabe’s endorsement,” Supernaw said in a statement. “From his days as a City of Cerritos Council Member, to his nineteen years of valuable service on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, he has served our community with distinction.”

Supernaw is a life-long Long Beach resident and the son of a Long Beach firefighter. He works as a business and marketing consultant, and has served on the 4th District Budget Advisory Committee, as well as Long Beach Sustainable City Commission, where he currently serves as commission chair.
