Thousands of Long Beach residents are without power in Belmont Shore, according to Southern California Edison.

The Belmont Shore outage is centered on the western edge of Naples Island, with a restoration time not determined, according to SCE.

A second outage is scheduled for North Alamitos Beach centered near Fourth Street and Alamitos Avenue. This is a planned outage, expected to last from about 10:15 a.m. to noon.

It’s unclear how many residents are being impacted in each area but combined a total of 2,919 are being affected, according to SCE’s website.

There are 14 upcoming maintenance outages in Long Beach planned by SCE between Dec. 28 and Jan. 7, according to the company’s website. Affected areas include Belmont Shore, Central Long Beach and Bixby Knolls.
