After recently announcing his candidacy for the April 2010 race for Long Beach City Prosecutor, attorney Doug Haubert today officially unveiled his campaign website, DougForCityProsecutor.com.

The site includes a brief bio, a lengthy list of endorsements that surprised many when Haubert unveiled it along with his intention to run in mid-December, and a section for online campaign donations.

A former Long Beach Deputy City Prosecutor, Haubert is running for the seat left open by current City Prosecutor Tom Reeves, who will challenge Robert Shannon for Long Beach City Attorney in April.  Reeves’ right-hand man, Assistant City Prosecutor Timothy O’Reilly, will face Haubert for the position.

Attempts to contact O’Reilly for comment have not yet been returned. A search for a campaign website has not yielded results thus far.

Haubert told the lbpost.com shortly after announcing his candidacy that if he wins the election, he intends to focus his efforts on prosecuting slumlords that take advantage of renting occupants and deteriorate the surrounding communities. His website bio points to examples of successful prosecutions in that area.
