Fourth District Councilmember Patrick O’Donnell is inviting residents to Orizaba Park this Saturday, May 19 at 9:00am for a comprehensive update on the park’s renovation and planned $2.5 million dollar community center.

Orizaba Park holds a firm place in Long Beach’s history and continues to serve as an anchor for the communities in the West end of the Fourth District. The area around Orizaba Park even takes its name, Zaferia, from the old Red Car stop that connected Long Beach to the rest of the Los Angeles Region until the 1940s.

Located at East 14th Street and Orizaba Avenue, the grounds of the park were recently renovated and reopened to the public earlier this year in January. Residents are encouraged to attend this open-aired community meeting at Orizaba Park to learn more about the exciting new facilities and amenities to come. For more information, call (562) 570-6918.

“Coming Soon to Orizaba Park” will be hosted by O’Donnell at Orizaba Park, located at 1435 Orizaba Avenue (at 14th Street).
