4:27pm | According to a press release issued this afternoon, Councilwoman Rae Gabelich will announce her decision regarding the future of the Eighth Council District tomorrow.
Gabelich was first elected to the City Council in 2004, and was re-elected without opposition in 2008. According to the press release, many Eighth District residents have encouraged Gabelich to run as a write-in, which she has said she is considering.
“I have worked hard the past eight years with residents throughout the Eighth District to put our neighborhoods first. We have made some tremendous improvements, but we are now at an important juncture in determining the future of our community. After spending many hours talking with and listening to my family, friends and the announced candidates, I am ready to share my thoughts on the future of the Eighth District,” said Gabelich.
