Officials warn that this week’s weather could cause minor mud and debris flow down slopes cleared during wildfires.
NWS also issued a coastal hazard warning for the L.A coast, including Downtown L.A, Catalina and Santa Barbara Islands for late Wednesday to Thursday morning.
The advisory warns of elevated and strong surf of three to six feet which are expected to cause dangerous rip currents and sneaker waves. NWS warns that there is an increased risk in drowning, as rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea and sneaker waves can suddenly wash people off of beaches.
People are advised to use caution when on the beach or going in the water.
