So you think you can sing? 

Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride (LBLGP) is hosting their annual Pride Star! competition, which is a karaoke singing competition for amateurs only and is open to individuals that are 18 and older.

If you are ready for a six-week singathon, the competition begins March 31, and the quarterfinals will begin May 4- May 8.  The Pride Star! competition will be held in various locations throughout Long Beach, including Hot Java, Club Ripples, Silver Fox and Hamburger Mary’s.

Without further adieu the Pride Star! finalists will be competing for the grand prize on the main stage at the Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride Festival Celebration the weekend of May 16 &17th, 2009 where a panel of celebrity judges will determine the winner.

The Pride Star! winner will receive a cash prize for $2,500, a recorded track from media Temple Productions plus air time on StudioOut.com. The runner-up will win $750 and third placer will receive $400.
