Before relaxing during the holiday, more than 4,000 people celebrated Thanksgiving by participating in the 6th Annual Long Beach Turkey Trot. Young and old began at the Belmont Pool for an assortment of 5k and 10k runs, and the Community Action Team (CAT) that holds the event brought in more than $120,000 for future youth, environmental and animal care programs throughout the city.
