Beginning this July, one of Long Beach’s most iconic hotels will make a grand re-debut after a $20 million renovation. Hotel Maya will be open for business on July 1, nestled snugly on the shores of the Los Angeles River just a stone’s throw from the Queen Mary and downtown Long Beach. The five-building resort will be unveiled by boutique hotel chain Joie de Vivre, which is moving full steam ahead to attract visitors to the city.
“With its vast grounds, secluded location and spectacular waterfront views, the Maya is an unexpected and exotic resort right in the heart of southern California,” said Joie de Vivre Creative Director Matt Harvey in a release.
