Authorities on Wednesday morning pulled a car out of the water at Junipero Beach, according to the Long Beach Fire Department.
It’s not clear how the car ended up on the beach, but Long Beach Fire Department Capt. Jack Crabtree said authorities were notified about it being on the sand at around 2 a.m.

Fire crews and the marine safety team quickly responded to the area, but not before the tide came in and submerged the vehicle in about 20 feet underwater, Crabtree said.
Divers inspected the vehicle to make sure nobody was still inside, he said.
Eventually, authorities were able to tow the car out of the water, Crabtree said.
The Long Beach Police Department said the car had been reported stolen. The circumstances were still under investigation.
