The Charter Communications Long Beach Sea Festival kicks into another gear this weekend with the 15th Annual Crawfish Festival as well as the 3rd Annual Classic Boat, Yacht and Car Festival, both in Rainbow Lagoon. Both events will be held this Saturday and Sunday, August 2-3.
The Crawfish Festival will bring Creole culture to Long Beach, featuring live music, dancing and dining with a wide variety of available crawfish recipes prepared by Bristol Farms Master Chef Bruce Jacobs. Click here for more information about the Festival’s Festival festivities.
Saturday’s event runs from noon to 11pm and Sunday’s from noon to 10pm. Admission is $13, but spring for the Crawfish Feast at $25.
Within walking distance, the Shoreline Yacht Club will host the 3rd Annual Classic Boat, Yacht and Car Festival from 10am-4pm both Saturday and Sunday. The event is free to the public.
Expect to see upwards of twenty 50-foot, mahogany historical boats from the early to mid 1900s. Cars on display include both passenger vehicles and racecars from 1920-1965.
