A portion of state routes 47 and 103 in the Long Beach and Wilmington areas will be closed between Friday evening and Monday morning as crews work to permanently realign the northbound and southbound traffic.

Southbound lanes of both routes will close at I street at 7 p.m. Friday and remain closed through 6 a.m. Monday, according to Peter Jones of Caltrans. Traffic may detour east on I Street, east on Anaheim Street, merge onto the southbound 710 Freeway, then exit Pico Avenue and get onto State Route 47 on Ocean Boulevard.

Northbound lanes of state routes 47 and 103 will be closed at Ocean Boulevard from 7 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday, Jones said. Traffic can detour by going east on Ocean Boulevard, north on Pico Avenue, west on Ninth Street and left on Anaheim Street.
