It’s been well-known that upscale seafood restaurant Parker’s Lighthouse has been under an extensive upgrade in recent months, but on Thursday we found out what all the fuss is about.

The third floor of the scenic waterfront restaurant has been converted into Queensview Steakhouse in a $2.5 million remodeling project that will truly combine surf and turf. The same, familiar sparkling view of the ocean and Queen Mary is still available in the panoramic room. The addition allows the restaurant to expand its menu to include a variety of steak, pasta and chicken options. Of course, there will be no shortage of Parkers’ award-wining seafood, sushi and sashimi.

The restaurant also modernized the main floor lounge and patio space with private cabanas and “nightclub-style Hollywood booths,” according to a press release.

“Queensview Steakhouse will now be the upscale dining destination along the coast,” said longtime general manager Michael Cole. “Guests have been waiting for this concept to come to Long Beach.”

Queensview Steakhouse at Parkers’ Lighthouse is located at 435 Shoreline Village Drive, Long Beach 90802.  For reservations, call 562-432-6500.  For Queensview Steakhouse updates, photos and menus, visit www.parkerslighthouse.com/queensviewsteakhouse.
