2:15pm | On Saturday, October 22, at approximately 1:50 a.m., officers from the Long Beach Police Department responded to the 1200 block of East Fourth Street in regards to a stabbing that later resulted in the death of an adult male.

The preliminary investigation revealed that three men were involved in a verbal altercation in the parking lot of an area business when one man stabbed the other two with a bladed instrument. Both victims sustained wounds to the torso area and were transported to a local hospital where one was pronounced deceased a short time later. At this time he is only being identified as a 28-year old resident of Long Beach, pending notification to his next of kin. The second victim, also a 28-year-old Long Beach resident,  was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Several hours later, detectives arrested the suspect in the city of Anaheim. At this time he is only being identified as a 24-year-old male resident of Santa Ana, pending the ongoing investigation.
