The Long Beach Sustainability Commission will meet in City Council chambers tomorrow, Thursday October 23, at 4:00pm for their monthly meeting, and the public is encouraged to attend. The eleven-member council meets to advise the City Council on environmental matters.
Tomorrow, the committee will vote to receive presentations on water, energy and biking by local experts, among other agenda items. The last meeting saw the committee approve a new Beach Recycling Program that will implement new recycling bins on neighborhood beaches (like the one shown in the picture above).
