Nestled snugly between Black Friday and Cyber Monday is Small Business Saturday, a national initiative made local by the several events to be hosted throughout the city, where Long Beachers can support hometown artisans, makers and small business owners.
If you can make it through the flurry that is Black Friday, you may just have the chance to enjoy the city’s offer of free metered street parking in downtown Long Beach, Belmont Shore (Second Street) and The Pike Outlets for Small Business Saturday, not to mention other small biz bargains in Bixby Knolls.
In addition to “hanging the stockings” with care this holiday season, small business owners will also be challenged with “hiring the seasonal staff” with care.
The annual retail crush has arrived–already. Black Friday is right around the corner and, just behind it, Small Business Saturday. Are you ready to capitalize on the “non-commercial consumerism” trend? (Wait. Is that an oxymoron?)
