Starting Tuesday, the LGBTQ Center of Long Beach will offer comprehensive testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections twice a week as part of a pilot project that will last through the end of the year, center officials announced. Long Beach currently has higher cases of STIs—including syphillis—than Los Angeles County and California, according to city health officials.
