After tallying the votes of the best happy hour spot in Long Beach, it was no surprise to see so many bars and restaurants nominated. It shows that we have a great city with great places to hang out after work. Well, I would say that it is my pleasure to announce the “Long Beach’s Best Happy Hour”: Paradise on Broadway. Paradise Piano Bar offers great drinks during their happy hour and that’s not to mention their appetizers, yummy! The ambiance is great and the live music is an added bonus.
The nominations were competitive and I would say that once it was tallied up, hands down, Paradise Piano was the choice of the Long Beach Post readers. This is the very place where I saw for the first time, Latonya and Jacques perform. It was an amazing happy hour that took me into the night with the feeling of relaxation and allowed me to unwind from work. After a long day at work, I went to Paradise for Happy Hour and so it was how I was given the treat to enjoy a drink and wonderful live music. That happy hour was amazing and unforgettable in so many ways.
After singing “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes,” Latonya and I talked briefly about their background and calendar of performances. She and Jacques were filling in for someone that night and had just moved to Long Beach. It was my lucky day to not only enjoy a great happy hour, but listen to Latonya and Jacques sing and play amazing music. Being there felt as if I was listening to Billie Holiday live. Like I said before, great food, fine drinks and amazing performers!
Congratulations Paradise and we hope to soon schedule a date to have a Long Beach Post Happy Hour there. More information about this to come!
