A moving truck filled with insulation caught on fire near Recreation Park Friday afternoon, according to the Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD).

LBFD spokesman Brian Fisk said they received multiple calls about the incident around 12:30PM. Firefighters had to conduct extensive overhaul by pulling out the insulation to put out the fire.

Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers were called about 10 minutes later to help with traffic control while firefighters addressed the vehicle fire, LBPD spokeswoman Marlene Arrona said.

No injuries were reported.
