A woman and her daughter were arrested on Monday for the murder of 39-year-old Tekeisha Neeley, who died after being stabbed in a North Long Beach apartment complex on Sunday afternoon.

Long Beach Police Homicide detectives arrested 46-year-old Sandra Howard, and her daughter, 21-year-old Tara Howard–both from Long Beach–and booked the two women for murder. They are being held at the Long Beach City Jail on $1,000,000 bail.

The victim was reportedly visiting residents in the complex on the 30 block of East Plymouth St. when a dispute occurred at the location. Sometime during the dispute, the victim was stabbed in the upper torso and pronounced deceased after arriving at the hospital. No additional details regarding the motive are available at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
