When officers arrived, they discovered the 15-year-old male victim down on the ground that had been assaulted. He was immediately transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim, a student at Wilson High School, was confronted by a group of male subjects and words were exchanged. The group then proceeded to assault the victim before fleeing on foot. The victim had not been involved in an on-campus incident earlier in the day.
Police investigated the incident late into the evening and arrested four juvenile suspects who are also Wilson students. They are only being identified as follows:

- 15 Female Lynwood Destroying and/or Concealing Evidence
A motive for the assault is still under investigation, but detectives believe others may have been involved in the assault and are asking for anyone with information to come forward. February 29, 4:15pm | Just after 2:00pm today, Long Beach Police responded to an alerted call near Wilson High School at 10th and Ximeno Avenue, where an unidentified male subject was assaulted; the assault did not occur at the school.
The suspect, of which details have not yet been released, is outstanding. A motive for the assault has not been publicly identified and the investigation remains ongoing.
