UPDATE | An 11-year-old boy last seen Thursday afternoon is now in the process of being reunited with his family after being found in the city of Los Angeles on Friday, authorities said.

Long Beach police said Markel Brown was located at about 4 p.m. today.

10/18/19 at 9:15 a.m. | Long Beach police are asking for the public’s help in locating an 11-year-old boy who was last seen Thursday afternoon leaving his home near Silverado Park in West Long Beach.

Markel Brown recently moved to Long Beach and is unfamiliar with the area, police said. He was last seen at about 2:50 p.m. Thursday by a family member in the 3200 block of Baltic Avenue.

Brown is about 5 feet tall and weighs 155 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, and was wearing a black T-shirt with gray sweat pants and black tennis shoes.
