UPDATE | A 15-year-old Long Beach girl who went missing Friday morning has been reunited with her family, according to her mother.

Yuna Alvarez-Jasper was found in Compton at around 12:30 p.m. Monday.

“Thank you so very much to each and every one of you who have helped, offered support, and networked and time,” the family said.

Community members and local businesses posted flyers across social media platforms throughout the weekend looking for the teen.

10/28/19 at 9:52 a.m. | A 15-year-old Long Beach girl who has been missing since Friday morning was last seen leaving school, according to her family.

Yuna Alvarez-Jasper was last seen leaving her school Intellectual Virtues Academy, in the 1600 block of Long Beach Boulevard, at about 10:45 a.m., according to Long Beach police.

Alvarez-Jasper was last seen wearing a black hoodie and dark colored pants. She had a navy blue backpack and a skateboard as well.

“At this time, detectives do not suspect any foul play,” spokeswoman Shaunna Dandoy said.
