The financial advice website WalletHub has listed the Los Angeles-Long Beach metro area as the “Ninth Best City for Summer Travel,” the company announced this week.
The study evaluated the 80 largest metro statistical areas throughout the country across 13 key metrics, using the cost of flights to local airports, hotels, living, the total number of attractions in the vicinity, diversity of attractions, weather conditions and parks and recreation opportunities as data to determine the overall ranking.
According to the study, announced Wednesday, the LA-Long Beach metro area ranked fourth in overall popularity, fifth in number of attractions, 20th in the cost of cheapest flight, 25th in cost of three-star hotel, and 30th in cost and hassles of getting there.
