Looking for something to do tonight?  You’re in luck!  Because it’s unusually busy for a Wednesday.

The Port of Long Beach is holding the last in a series of informational meetings about port-related issues, the city is hosting the last in a series of presentations about the future of the Long Beach breakwater, and local non-profit Long Beach BLAST is holding its annual fundraiser tonight with wine tasting and hors d’oeurves!

Let’s Talk Port will be held tonight at Cabrillo High School (2001 Santa Fe Avenue), beginning at 7:00pm and covering issues like port operations, environmental efforts and security.  A Q&A session will follow, and there will also be giveaways.

The final breakwater study session will be held at the Aquarium of the Pacific tonight, in an effort to educate the public about the future of the structure and also to gauge feedback.  Attendees are encouraged to offer ideas and opinions to engineering firm Moffat & Nicholl, which is currently overseeing a study and design proposal for the breakwater’s future.  The meeting will be held from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.  The first study session was covered by the lbpost.com in this story.

Finally, for a little fun, non-profit Long Beach BLAST will hold its annual wine tasting fundraiser tonight at the Union Bank California Building.  There will also be hors d’oeurves and a silent auction.  Tickets are $50 and attendees must be 21 or older.

See you everywhere!
