In a few short weeks, the lbpost.com will be unveiling its 2008 Person Of The Year. Our mission is to recognize a person that went above and beyond to exhibit exemplary citizenship in the past year, inspiring others and making the community a better place; a person that Long Beach can be proud to call a resident.
And we’ll need your help! Over the next few weeks, we’re compiling nominations from our staff, contributors and our readers to narrow the list down to one finalist.
Who do you think deserves to be named the 2008 LBPOST Person Of The Year? Leave a comment below to make your nomination!
To get your juices flowing, here’s an introduction from the 2007 lbpost.com Person Of The Year, Justin Rudd:
Thank you, Long Beach. It was a honor to be recognized as the 2007 Person of the Year. Thanks to all of you who took part last year in that nomination and voting process for all those amazing men and women who make Long Beach an even better place to live, work and play. I am/was honored to be part of that list. I look forward to reading your nominations again here at lbpost.com this year and wish continued success to each and everyone who puts forth some additional effort to make Long Beach an extra-special place. We’re blessed to be in your company. And, of course, I welcome whoever wins this year’s honor. Many, many are deserving.
With much admiration and respect,
Justin Rudd!
Happy voting!
