Sometimes I take living in Southern California for granted. This past weekend, I realized how great it is to live so close to the ocean. Dezire and I had the fortune to help skipper a sail boat with one of our best friends at the wheel, David Sommers.
Dave is the press secretary for Supervisor Don Knabe, serving as the voice of a great public servant who represents over two million people. It was hard to hear that voice this weekend as the wind slammed into our sails three miles off Marina del Rey in choppy waters.
By the way, it is no secret that I get sea sick.
