A Long Beach woman was arrested following a stabbing Tuesday evening at the Belmont Pier, police said.

Police said she and a man who appeared to be her boyfriend were in an argument at the Belmont Pier sometime around 6:20 p.m. when she brandished a knife and stabbed him in the upper body.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the man suffering from multiple stab wounds, police said. Long Beach Fire Department personnel transported the man to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries. Police said his injuries were non-life-threatening.

Police said the 41-year-old woman was taken into custody on suspicion of one count of felony assault with a deadly weapon and held on $30,000 bail.
