Authorities say a woman was killed in a rollover crash between an SUV and a box truck on the International Gateway Bridge in Long Beach.
The crash happened at about 1:25 p.m. Thursday on the southbound 710 Freeway near West Pier D Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 911 caller reported seeing a silver SUV on its side with a woman on the ground, a CHP dispatcher said.
The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, the dispatcher said. The victim’s name was withheld pending family notification.
It remains unclear what caused the crash, which briefly blocked all lanes of traffic.
