Police are investigating a shooting in Long Beach’s Wrigley neighborhood that left a woman injured Friday night.
Officers responded at around 10:59 p.m. to the 2100 block of Cedar Avenue following a report of shots being fired, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Upon arrival, officers located a crime scene where they discovered evidence, including bullet casings, police said. However, they were unable to find any victims, witnesses, or suspects, police said.
A short time later, officers went to a local hospital after a woman arrived with a gunshot wound to the upper body, authorities said, adding that her injuries were not life-threatening.
At this time, a motive for the shooting is not known, although gang detectives also responded to the scene to further investigate, police said.
